The Essentials suite of courses are designed to equip and upskill employees with essential and action-focused low code/no code tech skills in AI for Business Value, Data for Business Value or Cyber Security Resilience.
To confirm your place, we require all candidates to read through the below and confirm that you understand and agree to the below Code First Teams participation terms, as stated below. Once you have read through, you can tick on the page and return to Code First Teams (a subsidiary of the Code First Girls brand).
1. Commitment to completing this Code First Teams programme.
Your employer is supporting you by investing in your education and expects that you will complete the 4 week course. If we have any concerns regarding your attendance, conduct or performance level on the course, we may need to make your employer aware.
Successful completion of this programme is based on demonstrating both foundational knowledge and practical application.
To pass this course, you must:
- Complete and pass all quizzes with a score of 80% or above. You have unlimited attempts to pass each quiz.
- Complete and pass the independent assessment with a score of 50% or above. Instructions and submission details will be provided on the Learning Hub, at the beginning of the programme. We advise that you allocate approximately one hour for its completion.
Attendance
Reporting Absences
Attendance in your programme is crucial for your success. Consistent attendance at live sessions ensures you receive the full curriculum content, participate in essential collaboration, and have the opportunity to ask questions that deepen your understanding.
Any absence or inability to participate in scheduled live teaching sessions (Live Labs) must be reported to:
- Your instructor(s) (via Slack): To ensure they are aware of your absence for the specific session.
- Our Programmes Team (via Slack): To keep your official programme record updated.
- Your line manager: It is your responsibility to ensure your line manager is appropriately informed of your absences throughout the duration of the programme.
Please note that repeated absences may affect your ability to successfully complete this course.
Code of Conduct
You are agreeing to adhere to our
Code of Conduct; we have the right to remove you from the course if you are found to be in breach of Code First Teams’ Code of Conduct. Any feedback we receive, as well as your behaviour on the course (including any confirmed instances of plagiarism), may be taken into consideration.
If you cannot make this commitment to us and your employer, you should not participate.
2. Code First Teams Course Intellectual Property
In regards to Intellectual property, course materials and participant data, as a student we will give you access to certain programme materials and you will have direct access to other students and instructors on the course through Slack.
Code First Teams (also referred to as “CFT” in this document) is the owner of all rights, title and interest in the Code First Teams brand and logo, together with any materials, data and other items (and related intellectual property rights) provided to you or which you obtain on the course.
No rights are granted to you in relation to materials, data or other items. Material cannot be shared with any third party or stored or copied on your own device/server for future use without express written consent by Code First Teams.
This material may not be modified or altered without express written consent by Code First Teams and in no event shall you be authorised to remove any trademark, brand name or logo from this material.
3. Use of the Code First Teams name, brand or logo
You may use the Code First Teams name, brand or logo provided that such use does not damage or take advantage of the Code First Teams reputation. You must not establish a link in such a way to suggest any form of approval, endorsement or association on our part where none exists. You cannot record any of the sessions, unless told otherwise by the CFT team.
4. Your course output created during the Code First Teams programme.
The course output you create during the Code First Teams programme will remain your property and CFG will have no rights to the code you create. However, we reserve the right to access and showcase this content with company partners for demonstration purposes only.
5. Cancelling your place on the course
Once you start the Code First Teams programme, you must complete the full 4-week course. If you need to leave the course because of an extraordinary unforeseen circumstance, such as for example, sudden ill health, accident or close family bereavement you must contact us and your internal company point of contact managing the Code First Teams programme or line manager. This must be by email/our online support form so we can discuss your situation with you.
6. Student feedback commitment
Student feedback is essential to the process of continuous improvement of our Code First Teams programmes and your feedback is directly used to enhance the quality of the student learning experience for yourself and others.
Towards the end of the course we will ask you to complete an in-depth Student Satisfaction Survey.
Completing the above is a requirement of the course and is vital so that your voice can be heard and your feedback taken into consideration as we enhance the programme. We have the right to withhold your certificate if you do not complete the necessary feedback forms.
Any feedback or survey responses may be shared anonymously with your employer. The goal of this data sharing is to enhance collaboration and offer the partner company a deeper understanding of your learning journey.
